The NYU Teacher Residency at Center City Public Charter Schools combines immersive teacher preparation with a comprehensive one-year master of arts in teaching.

As a teacher resident in a Center City Public Charter Schools partner school for a full academic year, you will gradually take on more responsibility in the classroom. This model provides you with an opportunity to connect learning theory with practice and build confidence in your teaching. We will help you take your BA degree and subject area knowledge to new heights as you learn to serve all students.

We’re committed to affordability, community, and diversity.

In the Teacher Residency, you receive hands-on preparation, course work taught by expert NYU Steinhardt faculty, and a variety of support to ensure the program is accessible to applicants from diverse backgrounds and affordable.

Register for our next virtual information session:

  • Thursday evenings, 9:00 pm-10:00pm ET

At our information sessions you will learn more about the program’s curriculum with built-in, wraparound support system of faculty, content mentors, residency directors, and peers, as well as eligibility requirements. An admissions representative will discuss tips for applying, and finally we will have Q&A time.

If you are interested in learning about the NYU Teacher Residency but are not able to make it to an info session we encourage you to contact an enrollment specialist via email or call us at 877-710-6381.
