We received the results from the PARCC, the statewide assessment administered to all DC students, and we continue to increase the percentage of students meeting or exceeding expectations. Students increased their scores in mathematics by 1.3% and in English Language Arts by 1.1%. While we know we have a lot of work to do to ensure that our students are prepared for college and career, we believe that by continuing to emphasize a rigorous curriculum and high-quality instruction we will increase the number of students achieving at the highest levels. We are particularly proud that our at-risk and English Learner (EL) students are outpacing the charter sector.
