Shaw Students Visit the White House

On September 1st, several Shaw students had the honor of attending a private screening at The White House of Disney‘s new film “Queen of Katwe” starring Lupita Nyong’o. The film depicts the true story of Phiona Mutesi, a chess prodigy from Uganda, who pulls herself out of poverty to become a world champion. What an amazing experience for our young scholars!
